ELECTROCARDIOGRAM

This medical examination allows to diagnose the heart of a patient. It is performed using a cardiograph and a set of electrodes that will be attached on the skin of the patient. The Africa Cardiac Care Program enables the patient to benefit from an unlimited number of 12 leads electrocardiogram exams per year, as well as the follow-up of a Cardiologist who will interpret the patient examinations whenever necessary .

blood pressure measurement provided for each reference hospital in the program. Using this exam, nurses can measure patients’ arterial pressure, and add it to the data that we will send to the remote specialist. This parameter can be collected as many times as necessary in a hospital or at home.

All subscribers to the Africa Cardiac Care program benefit an unlimited number of blood sugar exam yearly. This is carried out in order to examine blood sugar rate. This exam is also useful to determinate whether the patient faces a higher risk of vascular diseases.

OXIMETRY

Colorimetric oximetry or pulse oximetry or pulsed oxygen saturation (SpO2) is a noninvasive examination to quantify the oxygen saturation of hemoglobin in blood capillaries. When a patient signed up for the program we also allow him / her to perform an unlimited number of this exam which provide to the cardiologist complementary useful information for the cardiac diagnosis.

AFRICA CARDIAC CARE
Already available In District Hospitals of Cameroon

AFRICA CARDIAC CARE is a Pan-African health program designed by HIMORE MEDICAL in partnership with many hospitals in Africa. The program comes to existence in Cameroon where only 50 cardiologists are found over 22 million inhabitants. This program, set up for Africans with a low-income revenue, gives the opportunities to all subscribers to benefit from four complete and unlimited cardiovascular examinations each year (Electrocardiogram, Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose and Oximetry), with only 28,500 FCFA (48 USD) Per year in hospital, or 35,500 FCFA (60 USD) annually at homes services.

AFRICA CARDIAC CARE is the first Pan-African program that aims are providing an annual cardiac monitoring to support patients with a low-income revenue in Africa. This program is available as a service in many district hospitals in Africa.

  • More than 3000 heart exams recorded and transmitted, are reached using Cardio-pad devices.

  • Implementation in progress in Cameroon. Any African hospital can become a host center.
